2016 demand for homes in Montclair is off to a strong start.

Inventory remained low in January with 27 new listings contributing to only 95 homes on the market at month’s end, versus 111 at the same time last year. Despite low inventory, there is a pool of buyers early into the market that are eager to place offers and 20 houses went under contract in January.

One home in the low $800K price range garnered almost ten offers, going in excess of 10% over an ask. 19 homes closed in January at an average 2% above price.
