Do These Things Now!

There are several things that a homeowner can do well in advance to help a sale go smoothly and for the best return.

Make a declutter schedule
– Set up a calendar for donations, bulky waste, hazardous waste, getting the kids to take their stuff, etc.

Create a tune up budget
– Start a list of things around the house that need to be fixed or replaced. Organize by cost so when it comes time to put things in motion, you can choose where to invest back into the house wisely. Book trade professionals during their quieter months.

Take summer pictures
– Take outdoor pictures now of pools, gardens, etc so buyers can get a feel for the outside if you list in late winter.

Pull that oil tank
– Don’t know if you have one?  Test for one.  It’s been decommissioned?  Pull it anyway. Still using the original tank?
